CHARLO – Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies helped to locate and arrest a suspect involved in a high-speed chase on March 25.
Sheriff Don Bell identified the suspects as Seth Houston Williams of Polson and Sean Patrick Forget of Ronan. “Both males were taken into custody and transported to the Lake County detention facility,” Bell said.
The incident began on Wednesday morning at about 4:30 a.m. Bell said his office was given information from Missoula County regarding a “theft in progress” in Missoula County. The suspects were then seen traveling north on U.S. Highway 93 towards Lake County.
“The suspect vehicle description was provided to law enforcement, and it was found that a witness was following the suspects,” Bell said.
Law enforcement with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes’ police department and Lake County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle. The suspects attempted to avoid arrest by traveling in excess of 90 mph on roads in the Moiese Valley and Charlo area. Bell said law enforcement were able to apprehend the suspects.
