Arlee Scarlets
On Tuesday, Jan. 14, the Arlee Scarlets picked up a 60-20 home win over the Two Eagle River School Lady Eagles. For the Scarlets, Jerny Crawford scored a game-high 15 points followed by Halle Adams who chipped in 10 points.
Polson Lady Pirates
Mossy Kauley scored 11 of the 22 total Polson Lady Pirates team points in a 39-22 loss on the road to the Whitefish Lady Bulldogs Friday night. On Saturday, the Libby Lady Loggers defeated the visiting Lady Pirates 45-28 in Northwestern A Conference action.
Charlo Lady Vikings
The fourth-ranked Class C Charlo Lady Vikings kept their undefeated season intact win a narrow 43-40 win over previously unbeaten Hot Spring Lady Savage Heat on Friday night in Charlo.
Two Eagle River Lady Eagles
On the road in conference action, the Two Eagle River Lady Eagles fell 60-20 to the Arlee Scarlets on Tuesday, Jan. 14, and 63-9 to the Plains Trotters on Thursday.
Ronan Maidens
On Saturday evening, the Ronan Maidens corralled the Frenchtown Lady Broncs 51-32. Maiden Jaylea Lunceford led all shooters with 19 points while Regan Clairmont chipped in 12 points.
Boys Basketball
Arlee Warriors
Billy Fisher scored a game-high 26 points to help lead the Arlee Warriors to an 81-52 win over the visiting Eagles on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Cody Tanner netted 19 points for the Warriors.
Polson Pirates
On Friday, the Polson Pirates slipped past the Whitefish Bulldogs 53-52 in a Northwestern A Conference matchup in Whitefish. Ryker Wenderoth led the Pirates with a game-high 21 points and Colton Graham added 12 points. The Pirates picked up a conference road win on Saturday as they toppled the Libby Loggers 63-44.
Charlo Vikings
Nate Clark scored a team-high 14 points and Phil Marquez had 11 points to help the Charlo Vikings past the visiting Hot Springs Savage Heat 61-57 on Friday evening.
Two Eagle River School Eagles
Anthony Charlo scored a team-high 16 points while Michael Brown scored 14 points for the Two Eagle River Eagles in an 81-52 road loss to the Arlee Warriors on Tuesday, Jan. 14. In 14C action, the Eagles stumbled on the road Thursday, falling 70-42 to the Plains Horsemen. On Saturday in Troy, the Eagles fell in a close 62-59 Class C matchup against the Troy Trojans.
Ronan Chiefs
On Saturday night, the Ronan Chiefs fell 59-39 to the Frenchtown Broncs. Zarec Couture and Girma Detwiler led the Chiefs in scoring on the road with seven points each.
Wrestling Choteau Classic
Mission/Charlo finished in second place in the team standings out of 35 teams at the Choteau Classic on Friday and Saturday with 114.5 points. Glasgow won the classic with 173 points.
Isaiah Allik pinned Caden Crowell, of Cascade, in 57 seconds to win the 170-pound title for the Mission/Charlo Bulldogs.
Also for the Bulldogs, Walker Murphy (126) placed second. Isaac DuMontier (145) and Darwin Adams (152) placed third. Miles Anderson (205) wrestled his way into a fifth-place finish.
Warrior Colt Crawford had Arlee’s only championship bracket finish placing fifth in the 145-pound class with a 1:48 pin over Colten Barsness of Cut Bank.
Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic
In Missoula on Friday and Saturday, Polson Pirate wrestler Kedrick Baker (126) finished sixth in the bracket matches during the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic.
