ST. IGNATIUS — Tribal Health announces Jessi Cahoon is the new pharmacy division director.
Cahoon is a board-certified pharmacist and an enrolled member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. She completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the University of Montana and her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Community Medical Center in Missoula.
During her residency, she gained experience in both ambulatory care and inpatient pharmacy practice with interests in infectious disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes management and academia.
She is transitioning from her role as a clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice at the University of Montana and Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana where she worked with pharmacy students and family practice medical resident. She was also previously a clinical pharmacist for Tribal Health.
“I am excited to return to work for my tribe in a new capacity,” said Cahoon. “As the pharmacy division director, I hope to use my experience to augment the excellent work of the Pharmacy Department at Tribal Health.”
