YELLOW BAY — Flathead Lakers members and friends will gather to celebrate and learn about Flathead Lake and its watershed at the Flathead Lakers annual meeting on Thursday, July 11, at the Flathead Lake Biological Station. The public is welcome.
Robin Steinkraus will present “Reflections on Watershed Protection Connections” from her 22 years serving as Flathead Lakers Executive Director. “I am grateful to have the opportunity to say thank you and good-bye to Flathead Lakers members and friends who care about safeguarding this special place,” said Steinkraus, who will be leaving the nonprofit organization at the end of July. The Flathead Lakers will present their 2019 Stewardship Award to Steinkraus in recognition of her long dedication to protecting Flathead Lake and the clean waters that flow through it.
University of Montana Flathead Lake Biological Station director, Dr. Jim Elser, will present the 2019 State of the Lake Report.
The program begins at 7 p.m. at the Biological Station at Yellow Bay. A social time before the program begins at 6:15 p.m.
