Through the efforts of many Polson students and several local businesses, two beautiful LED reader boards are now a reality.
Rob Hankins, Polson High School principal, and Tom DiGiallonardo, Polson Middle School 5-6th grade principal, coordinated student efforts at both schools and recently purchased the new signs.
For several years, middle school students raised money through candy sales and cookie sales while the high school Board of Governors raised monies too. Finally, the school administrators landed a Pepsi-Cola contract that culminated the fund-raising drive.
It should be noted that no taxpayer monies were used, and no school district funds were spent on the purchase or installation of these back-to-back reader boards. Special thanks goes to Western Building Center, Vert Concrete, Nordberg Electric, and Dave Mercer Welding for assisting on this project.
