One man killed in Pablo shooting

PABLO – Matthew Adam Posey Darnell, 30, of Polson, was shot several times and killed in Pablo on Thursday night, Feb. 28, around 10 p.m.
Daniel Chance Blixt, 29, of Pablo, was charged with deliberate homicide in the shooting death, according to Lake County Sheriff Don Bell.
Bell said the shooting suspect is in custody and being held at the Lake County jail. Law enforcement are conducting an investigation and interviewing witnesses. The victim was sent to the Montana Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Bell said a 911 call came in concerning a shooting that had occurred on Division Street on Thursday. Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Police, Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Montana Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
Bell said law enforcement found a male at the scene who had been shot several times. He was taken to St. Luke Community Healthcare hospital in Ronan where he died from his wounds shortly after arriving.
