PABLO – A man was shot several times in Pablo last night around 9:30 p.m. and later died.
Lake County Sheriff Don Bell said a 911 call came in concerning a shooting that had occurred on Division Street. Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Police, Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Montana Highway Patrol responded to the incident.
Bell said law enforcement found a male at the scene who had been shot several times. He was taken to St. Luke Community Healthcare hospital in Ronan where he died from his wounds.
Bell said the shooting suspect is in custody at the Lake County jail. Law enforcement are conducting an investigation and interviewing witnesses. The name of the victim was not being released as of Friday morning to allow time for the family to be notified.
