POLSON – On Saturday afternoon, a group of freezing, smiling kids and adults could be seen at Polson’s Riverside Park, running around with plastic sticks trying to bash a small rubber ball into a netted goal. The crazy spectacle is a sport called broomball and was part of the Mission Valley Ice Arena Association’s third annual Winter Fest. Winter Fest is one of the several outreach activities the MVIAA host to increase public awareness of their ice rink project, as well to spark an interest and love for winter sports.
