RONAN – First year Mission Bulldog boys’ basketball head coach Stuart Grant had his team playing for a berth at the State B tournament in Belgrade on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The game was played after press deadline. Final game results can be found at www.valleyjournal.net.
Due to Loyola’s 53-43 loss to Bigfork in the championship game, Mission had the opportunity to battle Loyola in a challenge game for second place and a berth to the state tournament scheduled for March 6-8.
In the Western B Divisional tournament at the Ronan Event Center on Thursday, Feb. 21, Jedi Christy led the Bulldogs to a dominating 57-34 win over the Eureka Lions to open the first day of action. Christy scored a game-high 15 points. Flint McPherson and Jacob Hugs both scored 11 points each.
