The District No. 4 American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship contest was held in Polson at the Masonic Hall on Feb. 23. Contestants were judged on their knowledge of the Constitution and how they presented their Oration.
Sierra Dilworth, a senior from Flathead High School in Kalispell, received a $150 scholarship for her first place oration titled, “As It Could Be.” In second place and winning a $75 scholarship was Chloe Coberley, a sophomore from Columbia Falls High School, for her prepared oration titled, “Second Amendment-More Than Just Men With Guns.”
Landin Zimmerer, a sophomore from Polson High School, placed third and won a $50 scholarship for his prepared oration titled, “The Importance of The Constitution.”
