Despite losing all of their pool play games, the No. 4-seeded Polson Pirate All-Stars defeated the No. 1 seed Kalispell National League and the Mission Mountain All-Stars in two tightly contested games. With the wins, the Pirate All-Stars played Columbia Falls in the championship game, where they lost 14-3.

During their opening pool play game, they nearly upset Columbia Falls, losing 1-2.

During their next game, Polson fell to a talented Clark Fork team, but rallied from being down 8-2 going into the sixth inning, to come within one run after Cadis Chowning hit a triple with the bases loaded, before stealing home to tie the game.

The Pirate All-Stars then faced off against the Kalispell American League, where they lost 0-2.

Next, the team began the single elimination stage of the tournament. Their first opponent was the Kalispell National League, who they defeated 5-2 after being tied at 2-2 heading into the top of the seventh inning. Next, the Pirate All-Stars took down the Mission Mountain All Stars 5-4.

The Pirates were down three runs heading into the 5th inning, before Shane Rehbein hit a double with the bases loaded to win the game 5-4, advancing to the championship game.

The second match up between the two teams was quite different than their first encounter, as Columbia Falls won big, 14-3. With the loss the team took second in the tournament, advancing them to state in Hamilton.

At Hamilton, the Pirate All-Stars defeated Corvallis 11-7, before losing to Glasgow 2-1, and also falling to Belgrade 10-4.

Polson then began their single elimination tournament, where they sent home Elkhorn with a 4-3 victory. With the win the Pirates advanced to play Belgrade once again. Polson led for most of the game before Belgrade rallied to win 7-6 at the end of the game.
