RONAN – For the 72nd year, Lake County is preparing for a fun-filled, action-packed county fair. Starting July 25, the festivities will run through Sunday, July 31.

This year’s fair has it all, from the annual 4-H animal judging, to live concerts by the Babaganoush acoustic band, and the band Party Trained. Other highlighted festivities include a talent show and market livestock auction.

4-H events begin Monday, July 25 at 6 p.m. where there will be a recognition dinner. On Tuesday there will be a family style dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. and an open class poultry/rabbit check in from 6 to 9 p.m. On Friday from 9 to 11 p.m. there will be an ambassadors dance, and stall and cage cleaning on Sunday, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Saturday, there will be a dog agility and rally fun match at approximately 1 p.m., immediately following the 4-H dog show. Entrants can register their dogs on the fairgrounds on the day of the competition, prior to the fun match.

With new additions to traditional favorites, the seven event-packed days are aimed to please a wide range of Lake County residents and beyond.

For more information, pick up an Ag-Celebration in the Missions book at grocery stores, hardware stores and senior citizen centers throughout Lake County or stop by the fair office at 300 Third Avenue Northwest in Ronan, or call (406) 676-8660.
