Editor,

Put this bit of prognostication into your little bag of information about who will win the presidential race in 2012 and why. And know, too, that this is not just my personal opinion, but has been gleaned from reading and listening to numerous others.

Barack Obama will be re-elected by a slim majority. And the reason he will be re-elected is not because he is doing a good job but because the American public, in its sometimes and ultimately wise assessments on things, realizes that no one challenging him will do any better given the sad state of affairs with our present political system operating out of Washington, D.C. In fact, a change might even prove to be worse.

This is a short letter because that is about all I have to say on the subject at this time.

Last week we celebrated the Fourth of July with fireworks, speeches, parades and prancing politicians. May our ensuing days be filled with such joy and carefree activities.
