The Charlo Vikings football team got its postseason run off to a good start on Saturday as they hosted No. 10 Abasarokee in a Class C first-round playoff game. The Vikings started hot and rolled to an easy victory, winning big 48-9. With the win, the Vikings improved to 8-2 overall, and will battle it out against No. 2 ranked Fairview on the road in the quarterfinals.
Charlo was led by Tra Ludeman, who ran the ball eight times for 143 yards, scoring three touchdowns. Jacen Petersen also proved to be a force, running the ball six times for 87 yards and one touchdown on offense, and returning a fumble 14 yards for a score.
Charlo jumped out to an impressive 34-3 lead by the end of the first quarter and drifted to a 48-9 win. The Vikings amassed 359 total yards of offense, while they held Abasarokee to 193, who finished the season 6-3.
