RONAN – Although Hamilton ran away with both first place finishes at the Canal Bank Run in Ronan on Friday, many area athletes finished with solid performances to start the season. The Ronan boys finished third at the meet with a score of 78, while Mission took fourth. Paden Alexander of Mission finished fourth with a time of 17:17. Ronan runner Danny Romero finished sixth with a time of 17:50, while teammate Brady Oakland ran the race in 18:48.
In the girls competition, Ronan finished third with a score of 69, while Mission took fourth. Mission athlete Ashley Courville took first in the event, running the course in 20:45. Teammate Rose Bear Don’t Walk finished in sixth with a time of 22:32. Kaylie Durglo took eleventh place, finishing in 23:24.
Ronan’s Ashley Grandchamp took fifth place with a time of 22:09. Rachel Hardy took tenth place, running with a time of 23:40. Jade Gray took twelfth place with a time of 23:45.
