RONAN — Ronan American Legion Post No. 138 and Ronan Auxiliary Unit No.138 received 100 percent American Legion Family Ribbons at the District No.4 meeting in Paradise on Sept. 29. The American Legion Family Ribbon is only awarded when two or more Legion families obtain 100 percent membership in the same year. An American Legion family is the American Legion Post, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion Squadron, or The Legion Riders Chapter. This is the fourth year in a row that Ronan Post No.138 and its Auxiliary Unit No.138 have received the award. They were the second post and unit in the Department of Montana to both make the 100 percent goal for 2018. At the time only 1,300 posts and units out of 14,000 nationwide had earned the award. Thanks go to the membership that renewed their investment in this organization. As we head into 2019, our centennial year of service to veterans and community, we would like to remind them and all veterans yet to join, now is the time to become and remain a part of history with The American Legion and its Auxiliaries preserving their rights as veterans, service to our community and maintaining the four pillars of our founding. Ronan Post 138 also received an Americanism Citation from The American Legion Americanism Commission and signed by National Commander Denise Rohan for “Outstanding Service To Your Community.”
