POLSON — The reason Mayberry was so peaceful and quiet was because nobody was married. The only married person was Otis, and he stayed drunk.
In case you missed it last week, the veterans’ representative will be here again on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 10 a.m.-noon.
Also on Sept. 18, commodities will be sorted and bagged. Pick up yours after 1 p.m.
The menu for the coming week is:
— Thursday, Sept. 13: oven beef stew, homemade rolls
— Friday, Sept. 14: soft shell taco
— Monday, Sept. 17: chicken and dumpling soup, egg salad sandwich
— Tuesday, Sept. 18: ham loaf, scalloped potatoes
— Wednesday, Sept. 19: hamburger stroganoff, noodles
Lunch is served from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Vegetables and a dessert are included with meals.
