Track and Field

State Track Class C: During the Class C State Track and Field meet in Great Falls, Peyton Lammerding scored a girls’ state second-place medal and an Arlee High School Record in the shot put with a toss of 37-08.5 feet. 

All-State selections: Eight individuals from the Polson track and field squad had all-state performances, Trenton Adler,  Colton Cote, Dugan Davis, Kyle Druyvestein, Mikaela DuCharme, Bea Frissell, Molly Sitter and Quin Stewart.

The all-state submissions from the following schools Ronan, Charlo, Mission and Arlee were not received by editorial deadline. 

 

Basketball

On Thursday, Arlee Warrior Phillip Malatare was named to the 43rd annual Midland Roundtable Montana-Wyoming All-Star Basketball Series. The Montana boys team are 57-27 in the series with a winning streak to 14 games straight. The games are June 8th at Sheridan College and June 9th at Rocky Mountain College. The tipoff both nights is at 7:30 p.m. 

 

Softball

All-State selections: Four Mission Valley area girls were named to the softball all-state teams last week. 

In Class A, Polson Lady Pirate senior short stop Kaelyn Smith and junior catcher Kaylanna Desjarlais made the cut, as did Ronan Maiden senior pitcher Gabriella Wirz.

For Mission-Arlee-Charlo Bulldogs, pitcher Tomi Brazill received the nod for all-state Class B-C honors.

 

Tennis

All-State selections: Class A girl’s singles champion Shea McGuinness, Johnny Moore and girls doubles team of Kyler Lundeen and Berkley Ellis all received All-State recognition last week.

The all-state submissions from Ronan and Mission programs were not received by editorial deadline. 

 

Football

Arlee Warrior George Shick, Will Mesteth Jr. and Rory Bird along with Charlo Viking Toby Odom, Tyson Petticrew and Brady Fryberger all represented the Mission Valley during the 35th annual Bob Cleverley All-Star 8-Man Game on Saturday at the Montana Tech’s Alumni Coliseum.

All six Mission Valley Class 14C gridiron stars suited up for the Blue team in this year’s game.

The Blue defeated the Red squad in a lopsided 56-15 victory.

Arlee’s Mesteth had two touchdowns at quarterback on the night, connecting with Charlo’s Petticrew on a seven-yard pass and on a one-yard quarterback keeper.
