Montana Senior Olympics are June 14-16
The 33rd annual Montana Senior Olympics are set for June 14 – 16 in and around the Flathead Area. Towns that are hosting the event for seniors who are 50 years of age and older are Pablo, Polson and Ronan. Men and women from all around Montana and surrounding states will be competing in 14 sports which are Archery, Basketball (3 X 3 and shooting) Bowling, Cycling, Golf, Horseshoes, Race Walk, Pickleball, Road Races, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field, and Badminton which will be held in Bozeman. Men and women will compete in five year age groups for gold, silver and bronze medals. The less expensive early entry deadline is May 11. All entries close on May 25. The Senior Olympics are designed to keep seniors active which contributes to a happier, healthier lifestyle. All ability levels are encouraged to participate. Social events include a pasta dinner on Thursday evening and the informal banquet is scheduled for Friday evening when the attending athletes will be introduced and the outstanding athlete of the year will be recognized. Umbriaco honored at MSU’s annual Day of Student Recognition

BOZEMAN — Twenty-eight students were honored April 19 during Montana State University’s 95th annual Day of Student Recognition.
Jane Umbriaco of Ronan was among those honored. Umbriaco received the Outstanding Freshman Service Award.
