The Lady Pirates fell 8-5 in a nonconference softball matchup against the hosting Glacier Wolfpack on Tuesday, May 1.
Quinn Motichka went 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Olivia Perez also had a pair of RBIs on one hit.

Flathead Bravettes 3
Kaelyn Smith homered twice and drove in three as the Lady Pirates knocked off the Flathead Bravettes 14-3 at home on Thursday evening.
Smith went 4 for 4 including two triples, while Josie Caye, Laurel Bitterman and Paige Noyes each had three RBIs apiece.

On Friday, Kaelyn Smith added her fourth home run on the season as she and the Lady Pirates went on to win their tenth game of the year with a 28-0 road victory over Browning. Smith, Quinn Motichka and Laurel Bitterman all had four hits apiece.

The Maidens slipped past Stevensville 10-8 on Tuesday, May 1. The Maidens rallied in the bottom of sixth inning scoring five runs nabbing the home victory.
Jaylyn Hakes and Maddy Mae Miller each had two RBIs for the Maidens.

The Maidens fell prey to the mercy-rule on Thursday, falling 15-5 on the road to Columbia Falls. In the game, Maddy Mae Miller notched two RBIs for the Maidens.

The season finally got underway on Saturday in Helena for the Mission Valley Rockies. The Rockies split the double header against Helena dropping the opener in a close 6-5 effort then bouncing back in the second game winning 8-5. Next Saturday, the Rockies home opener is against Cranbrook. The game starts at 1 p.m.

Missoula Mavericks A 9
Mission Valley Mariners opened the double-header on Sunday with a 6-3 win over the visiting Missoula Maverick A squad. In the second game, Bubba Redstar hit a homerun to help lift the Mariners to an 11-9 victory over the Mavericks.
Track and Field
Kim Haines Invitational: Both the Ronan and Mission track and field teams got to come away from Saturday’s 24-team Kim Haines Invitational track meet at the Missoula County Stadium with individual wins.
For Ronan, James Normandeau raced to a first-place finish with a time of 4:42.89 in the 1600 and a third-place finish in the 800. Lindsey Brooks finished second in the 400-meter and 800-meter, while teammate Barney Kinsely placed second in the 100-meter race.
Mission Bulldog Karolyna Buck was first in the high jump (5-00) and third in the 800, while Afton Brander finished second in the triple jump, second in the high jump and third in the long jump.
Michael Durglo was second in the discus and third in the shot put for Mission.
Arlee’s top finisher was second place Shawntaya Nelson with a time of 13:37.54 in the 3,200.
