News from the American Legion
RONAN – To show their appreciation for a group of selfless community servants who come out each year to clean up the Ronan City Park before the town’s annual Easter egg hunt, the American Legion Ronan Post No. 138 in conjunction with Ronan VFW Post No. 5652 hosted a free evening meal. The group were invited to have chili and hot dogs as a thank you for all the work they do in keeping the Ronan City Park looking nice. Around 30 people raked and bagged litter and leaves filling a large truckload of stuff that had accumulated over the winter. The children seemed to think it was a lot more fun than work and really appreciated Jesse Merwin’s homemade cupcakes after the meal, provided of course they clean their plates first. So again, from the American Legion and VFW of Ronan we thank you for another job well done.
