Morris mushes on in Alaska
ALASKA — According to the GPS tracker on the Jr. Iditarod website, rookie musher Charmayne Morris, a junior at Polson High School, continues in eighth place traveling from Yentna to Willow, Alaska. Competitors have completed one-half of the 150-mile race from Knik Lake to the Yentna Station and are on their way back for the last half of the 41st annual Jr. Iditarod race.

BOZEMAN — Montana State University awarded 749 undergraduate degrees during MSU’s 2017 fall commencement ceremonies held Dec. 16 in Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
Montana State University graduates from our surrounding area are:

St. Ignatius: Sara Nerby
Students with two asterisks after their name graduated with highest honors (minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.70). Undergraduate students graduating with honors have a single asterisk after their name (cumulative grade point average of 3.25 to 3.69).
