If you think Nick Foles and the Eagles put up big numbers to beat all-time great Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, listen to this: The Jackson Jackals and the Adams Ant Eaters collected over 6,000 cans of soup for the Ronan Bread Basket and the Polson Loaves and Fish food banks.
The Jackals’ captain, Dale Jackson, gathered 3,490 cans and Christy Hunold, the Ant Eaters captain, pushed the Jackals with 2,510 cans. The Bread Basket’s Judy Preston and Loaves and Fish’s Bryon Rivers said this will supply their clients with soup for over half a year.
This is the ninth Soup-er Bowl competition the Seventh-day Adventist Church has sponsored for the two food banks – sharing more than 22,000 cans of soup with the Mission Valley.
