Ronan High School placed sixth as a team in speech at last weekend’s state tournament in Corvallis.
Senior Trevor Blackburn earned second in Impromptu Speaking and fourth in Humorous Interpretation.
Junior Kara Holmlund earned second in Memorized Public Address and eighth in Extemporaneous.
Senior Kelea Ilac took third in Dramatic Interpretation of Literature.
Sophomore d’Artagnan Dominguez earned eighth in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Head Coach Stephanie Swigart and Assistant Coach Michelle Mallon are proud of the team for their dedication and hard work.
“We were one of the smallest schools competing, yet we still performed so well our first year in Class A due to the integrity of our team’s dedication and hard work,” they said in a press release.
