All-State, conference volleyball players announced

CHARLO – Charlo Lady Viking Kaitlin Cox, junior, earned Class C All-State and 14C first-team all-conference volleyball honors last week according to a press release from the Charlo High School athletic department.
Cox, an outside hitter, helped lead the Lady Vikings to a third-place finish during the 14C district tournament and was the lone volleyballer from the Mission Valley area to receive all-state accolades.
Teammates Allie Delaney earned second team all-conference honors, while Bella Hawk and Sakoya Gaustad received honorable mention nods.
District 14C champions, Arlee Scarlets had a trio of players earn 14C first-team all-conference recognition in Mikayla Rieken, Eden Morin and Ashley Revis.
Mission Bulldogs’ Karolyna Black earned 6B second team all-conference honors.
In the Northwestern A, Polson Lady Pirate Kyler Lundeen claimed an all-conference second team selection.
Lundeen, a 5-foot-6 senior libero, helped the Lady Pirates to a fourth-place finish at the Northwestern A district tournament and a berth into the Western A Divisional tournament.
Rounding out the Mission Valley’s honorees are Kaelyn Smith for the Lady Pirates and Ronan Maidens Tiana Ulutoa and Madeline McCrea as Northwestern A honorable mentions.
