RONAN — Well, the unpredictable weather of fall is upon us. We all need to remember that just because the heat of summer is gone does not mean we can stop drinking fluids. Now is the time of year when it is really important to keep our fluid levels up as it helps our immune systems. There are so many germs floating in the air now. We are starting to close our houses up in preparation for winter’s cold and our bodies dry out the same as the air does so please be sure to keep your fluid intake up.
Menu for the week is:
— Wednesday, Oct. 18: soup, sandwiches, watermelon, crackers/bread, dessert
— Friday, Oct. 20: chili, vegetable and fruit salads, crackers, cinnamon roll
— Monday, Oct. 23: cheesy tuna noodle bake, cottage cheese, fruit, dessert
— Wednesday, Oct. 25: cheeseburgers, fruit salad, dessert
On Wednesday, Oct. 18, the foot clinic will take place from 10 a.m.-noon. That same day there will also be crafts. Everyone is welcome to bring their crafts and work on them and spend some time visiting with the group. There will be a bazaar at the Ronan Senior Center on Nov. 18. Call the center if you are want to reserve a table to sell your homemade crafts.
We are selling raffle tickets for our annual fundraiser. The major prizes include: one-half of a 4-H hog processed and wrapped; a handmade quilt; a handmade American flag afghan; a gift certificate and more. Contact any board member for your tickets or purchase tickets at Harvest Foods and Pablo Foods on Saturdays. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be held on Dec. 14. We appreciate all who donated items for the raffle and all of the people who have and will buy tickets to help keep our center operating. Have a great week.
