Legionnaires, Auxiliary to attend fall meeting

LIBBY — Mr. Larry King, Commander of American Legion Post #97 in Libby, said today about 60 Legionnaires and members of the Auxiliary are expected to attend the fall meeting of District No. 4 on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Mr. King said there are about 1100 Legionnaires in District No. 4. The Posts are located in Thompson Falls, Columbia Falls, Eureka, Bigfork, Libby, St. Ignatius, Whitefish, Polson, Charlo, Paradise, Kalispell, Ronan and Troy.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Post Home located at 319 California Ave. At 10 a.m. the Department program will begin at the Odd Fellows.
A joint banquet will begin at noon at the Post Home with Department Vice Commander Richard Klose of Laurel as guest speaker.
The Legion business meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the Odd Fellows. District Commander Glen Sharbono of Ronan will conduct the Legion meeting. The District President Mary Beth Stroklund of Libby will conduct the Auxiliary meeting.
