News from Polson Youth Soccer Association
Polson Youth Soccer Association (PYSA) is excited to announce that the Lower Flathead Valley Community Foundation (LFVCF) has donated $10,000 toward the completion of our beautiful new soccer facility. The LFVCF donation qualifies as part of the matching program established by the Greater Polson Community Foundation (GPCF), which runs through the first week in August. PYSA is incredibly grateful to the LFVCF, which has been a strong supporter of Polson Youth Soccer throughout the years. LFVCF grants in the past have gone toward scholarships for the spring soccer program, and improvements in the fields.
LFVCF generously funds grants in excess of $100,000 annually in the Mission and Jocko Valley communities. In addition to supporting PYSA, LFVCF has funded library and playground projects, reading and student achievement activities. They have also given grants to senior centers, local museums, and various local youth athletic programs, to name a few.
PYSA was able to host 3-way “friendly” soccer matches at the new fields for the 2017 spring soccer program. The positive feedback received from visiting teams regarding the new soccer fields was overwhelming. There is already great interest from other teams to use our facilities, bringing out of town guests into our community on a regular basis.
PYSA is in continuing need of funds to complete and improve the fields. Please consider a donation before the first week in August to qualify as a part of the GPCF matching program. Call Sarah Beck Smith at 406-261-0641 for additional information, or email sarah.smith@century21bigsky.com.
