POLSON — Smokin’ on the River BBQ Battle 2017 is coming to Polson.
At 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, at the Polson Fairgrounds, (adjacent to the new Regatta Shoreline Amphitheater), a barbecue battle will begin. Smokin’ on the River BBQ Battle 2017 is a contest designed for backyard and professional cookers to show off their barbecuing skills. Categories include: sauce, chicken, beef, pork, and open. Awards will be given to first and second place entries.
The public is invited to cheer on excited contestants as they vie to become Grand Champion. Admission and parking are free, so bring your blankets and lawn chairs and watch the contestants, shop vendor booths, and enjoy music from Thunder Skye. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Coolers and pets are not allowed. Dry camping-style RV spaces are available for contestants and vendors.
