Burning permit closes June 30
News from CSKT Division of Fire
FLATHEAD INDIAN RESERVATION — The Division of Fire Prevention program would like to let the public know that debris burning by permit closes on June 30 on the Flathead Indian Reservation. Open burning opens again on Oct. 1, 2017.
We urge that campers use caution as they head into the woods for Independence Day weekend. All campfires should be cool to the touch before ever being left unattended.
Folks should also know that the use of fireworks is prohibited on state and federal lands, and most are banned within the city limits. Those responsible for a wildfire can be held responsible for the costs of suppression.
For more information, visit the csktfire.org website. If you have questions call the Division of Fire at 406-676-2550 X 6407.
