ST. IGNATIUS – It only takes seconds to change the course of a game. Thanks to a layup by Mission’s Jarred Smith-Brown with 15 seconds left, the change was for the better as the Bulldogs edged Deer Lodge on Dec. 15, 46-44.
Austin Durglo and Dylan Evans scored 13 points apiece.
The Wardens tried to respond with five seconds left but failed to sink the shot as the buzzer sounded.
Robert Stone led the Wardens with 12 points.
On Dec. 13, time was not on Mission’s side as the clock expired with Charlo ahead, 63-58.
Evans once again hit the high mark in points, racking up a game-high 21 points.
But the Vikings, who had three players in double figures in the heated game that included technicals and ejections, outmanned the Bulldogs in the final quarters.
Charlo’s Kolten Andrews had 17 points, and Webb O’Neill contributed 16.
