The Charlo boys’ basketball team is looking strong, improving to 4-0 after edging Mission 63-58 at home and crushing St. Regis 69-25 on the road on Thursday.
Charlo’s game against Mission was intense, as both teams gave solid performances in an all-out battle to the end.
Dillon Delaney led Charlo with 18 points, making five free throws near the end of regulation, with two of them coming from technical fouls from head coach Patrick Irvin and Nikko Alexander.
Charlo’s Kolten Andrews also played a vital role in the win, adding 17 points, while Webb O’Neill also hit the double-digit mark, finishing with 16.
For Mission, Dylan Evans had a game-high 21 points, while Stuart Grant added 13. Austin Durglo finished the game with nine.
On Thursday, Charlo traveled to St. Regis, where the Vikings upended the Tigers, 69-25.
Charlo was firing on all cylinders from the beginning, shooting out to an early 31-6 lead after the first eight minutes of play. By halftime, Charlo led 54-11.
During the second half, the Vikings continued to cruise to victory, defeating St. Regis 69-25.
Dillon Delaney and Stephen Delaney finished the game with 11 points each.
St. Regis’ Jon Langella had 23 of his team’s 25 points.
Charlo played Two Eagle River at home on Dec. 19 and Noxon the following day on the road.
The Vikings resume their season Jan. 6 against Superior.
