Weaver to address Pachyderm Club
POLSON – Ronan Police Chief Kenneth J. Weaver is slated to be the guest speaker at the Friday, April 28 Pachyderm Club meeting. Weaver will address issues facing small law enforcement agencies, particularly the lack of officers. He will also speak about how the possible loss of Public Law 280 will affect the Ronan Police Department.
Lake County Pachyderm meetings are held in the Polson Rural Fire Dept. building on Regatta Road beginning at noon and adjourning at 1 p.m. The purpose of the Pachyderm Club is to provide information pertinent to all levels of government so that voters are informed about issues important to them and their communities. Everyone who wants to learn is invited to attend the meetings, whether or not he/she is a member of the Pachyderm Club. All are welcome.
Polson residents invited to May town hall meetings
POLSON – The city of Polson will be conducting town hall meetings with city commissioners throughout the month of May.
Residents are invited to bring their ideas, comments and questions.
The schedule is as follows:
May 2: Ward 2 with Ian Donovan and Ken Siler
May 3: Ward 1 with Todd Coutts and Lou Marchello
May 10: Ward 3 with Jill Southerland and Stephen Turner
The 7 p.m. meetings will be held at town hall.
