POLSON — On April 4 the Lady Pirates evened up their season record 2-2 with a 7-4 conference victory over visiting Columbia Falls.
Laurel Bitterman went 4 for 4 with a double and a RBI and winning pitcher Haley Fyant went 1 of 3 with 2 RBIs.
On Friday and Saturday, the Lady Pirates competed in the First Pitch Tournament held at the Belgrade Softball Complex in Belgrade. The games were limited to an hour in duration and did not count against the team’s record.
Overall the Lady Pirates finished the event 3-1, beating Hardin 11-1 and Butte Central 10-4 on Friday and splitting Saturday’s games beating Great Falls Central 7-0 and falling to host Belgrade 2-1.
During the tournament, the bats were hot for the Lady Pirates as they pounded out 29 runs on 43 hits during the event.
