POLSON – A 22-year-old man is facing revocation of his two-year deferred sentence after some $10,000 in cash, firearms, ammunition and various illegal drugs were allegedly found in his Missoula residence on Jan. 4.
Gage Daniel Stroop received the deferred sentence in Lake County on July 13, 2016 after a marijuana pipe, scale and a pink container with white residue later identified as methamphetamine were found in his vehicle on June 23, 2014.
The items that were allegedly found on Jan. 4 by his probation officer Mark Kittleson could lead to new federal or state charges.
Kittleson said he found approximately $10,000 cash in a safe along with a large amount of marijuana at Stroop’s residence, along with heroin and alcohol. Stroop admitted to using cocaine, marijuana and Xanax without a prescription on Jan. 4, according to Kittleson.
Kittleson recommended a five-year sentence in the Lake County case. Last week, Judge James A. Manley continued Stroop’s case to Jan. 25.
According to a court document, Stroop pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in Missoula County in September for an incident that occurred in October of 2015.
On Jan. 13, Stroop was sentenced to 20 years in prison with 15 suspended by Missoula County District Court Judge Robert “Dusty” Deschamps for aggravated assault, according to the Missoulian.
