POLSON — A “Youth Mental Health First Aid” class will be taught at the Polson Foursquare Church on Saturday, Jan. 21, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. This free 8-hour training teaches a five-step action plan to offer initial help to young people showing signs of mental illness in a crisis, and connect them with appropriate professional, peer, social, or self-help care. Designed for adults who work with young people ages 12-18; teachers, coaches, leaders of faith communities, social workers, etc. To register for the class, call 406-300-7011 or 406-261-8723. This training is offered by Youth Dynamics through a partnership with the Montana Office of Public Instruction.
