RONAN – It’s not too late to get a Christmas tree to help the Boys and Girls Club of Lake County and the Flathead Reservation.

“We put up signs and help people pick them out,” said Treysin Sinclair, 9, club member. He is working with several other club members to sell the trees.

An anonymous parent donated about 30 fir trees to the club. The smaller 4-foot trees are $20; 6-foot trees are $30; and 8-foot trees are $40.

The money raised will go towards program supplies, Executive Director Aric Cooksley said. He hopes to bring in enough funds to support a program called the Torch Club, which gives pre-teens fun things to do including leadership projects and a weekly Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) project.

“This fundraiser will help that program and it will help develop things for middle school outreach,” he said.

This year, the kids also sold about 4,000 pounds of cherries to bring in funds for their programs.

“This is our last fundraiser of the year,” he said.

To purchase a tree, call 406-676-5437 or stop by during club hours, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Friday.
