POLSON — Right on cue, the snow began to fall as 53 entries rolled in the Lake County Parade of Lights Friday night.
Bundled up in cozy layers, children and adults squished together along Polson’s Main Street, barricaded by a tape to keep candy-fetching kids safe as brightly lit cars, trailers and emergency vehicles passed by.
Several Santas joined the caravan, including one receiving treatment on St. Luke Community Healthcare’s float. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived at the town Christmas tree in a golf cart, and one Santa ditched his sled pulled by pink flamingoes to dive into a tipi.
The annual event was recharged last year as communities throughout Lake County became more involved, creating a longer and brighter parade.
