POLSON — Ronan High School placed third in Class B at the Polson Speech and Debate Tournament on Nov. 19. Roman Hall placed first in Humorous Interpretation, and Daniel Koehler placed fourth in Humorous Interpretation and fourth in Dramatic Interpretation. Kelea Ilac placed fourth in Impromptu Speaking, and Shelby Lampi placed fifth in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. “Overall the team did great with lots of personal and team achievements,” first-year coach Stephanie Swigart said. “Aurrora Watkins earned her first preliminary round first-place ranking with her Memorized Public Address with Analysis, and we had two new members who competed for their very first time.” The team will compete in Whitefish this weekend.
