POLSON – The Linderman Back to School Night was a great opportunity for students and their families to meet their teachers, enjoy dinner provided by Super 1 Foods and McDonalds, and learn more about extracurricular activities and events. Community is important to the “Linderman Village,” which was evident from the smiling faces of teachers, staff, and Principal Finkbeiner, who welcomed new and returning students on Friday evening. Superintendent Weltz stopped by to greet students and parents and explore the community booths as well. Students excitedly greeted classmates, browsed a table of free books, and asked each other about their summers.

The front lawn of the school was lined with informational tables for sports teams, local businesses, clubs, and school programs. With school supplies tucked under their arms and kids by their sides, parents and guardians stopped by the tables to learn more about the activities that students can participate in both inside and outside of school this year. Tables included the Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County, FoodCorps, Head Over Heels Gymnastics, St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Luke Community Healthcare, as well as many other important community organizations that offer activities for youth. The event was a great way to provide families with educational and extracurricular resources and kick off the school year.
