After knocking on more than 400 doors from Flathead County’s Coon Hollow to Ravalli at the south end of my Senate District 6, here is what you’re telling me you care about:

Opportunity to prosper in our beautiful treasure state. Jobs matter.

Bakers, cafes, greenhouses, print shops, a sawmill, manufacturers, farmers and ranchers are telling me the same thing: state administration is too busy ensuring its own job security with burdensome regulations. This is strangling the hardworking folks who turn the crank that powers our state.

This needs to be improved.

If we continue to impede entrepreneurial spirit, our greenhouses will go dark; our cafes will close; our print shops and sawmills will go silent; farms and ranches will disappear; and no bakeries will be there tempting us with the fragrance of fresh bread.

This isn’t the Montana we want to leave our kids.

Small business needs an advocate who knows what it’s like to hatch an idea and follow through with hard work and the hope of a modest profit. The joy of working our children into the business, demonstrating to them that hard work pays off, pays off for our own families rather than making government bigger.

(I’m not hearing about the red-herring issues my opponent threw out trying to derail my campaign. Folks recognize them as deceptions. Anyone who knows me knows my conservative family values.)

You’ve talked to me on your doorsteps about real issues, and I understand your concerns. I am working on them now and pledge to work on them in the future.

With the advantage of having served in Montana’s Senate, I can return to work alongside colleagues who share my passion for the freedom to innovate. We can untie the energy of hardworking Montanans and watch them set their own family table with the fruits of their labor.

I am honored to be your Senator. Help me make Montana the place we want it to be by voting for me, Sen. Carmine Mowbray. If I don’t come to your door between w and the election on June 5, feel free to contact me at 883-4677 or carminemowbray@gmail.com
