CHARLO – Charlo’s Landers Smith is finding himself to be a crucial component for the Viking football squad. Smith passed for 105 yards, rushed for 116 yards and scored four touchdowns during the Friday, Sept. 2 home game against Plains.
Smith opened the game up with a 5-yard touchdown and a 2-point conversion pass to Brady Fryberger, but Plains answered back with a touchdown just minutes later. Smith found a surge and scored the next two touchdowns for the Vikings to put his team in a 24-6 lead. If that wasn’t enough, Smith made a touchdown pass to Tyson Petticrew to add another 6 points to their score board.
Plains tried to answer back with a late second quarter touchdown, but the Vikings were to much to handle in the second half. Charlo dominated the game with a 54-12 win against Plains. The Charlo Vikings will travel to Flint Creek on Friday, Sept. 9 for a 7 p.m. game time.
