Submission from Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana
CHARLO – September’s featured artist at the Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana will be watercolor and oil artist Karen Fisher. She specializes in animal portraits with the occasional landscape, and she enjoys the different effects and styles possible with the two different mediums. Many of her paintings include colors that are not always present in the original setting – she likes to make blue dogs and purple cats seem normal. Fisher is an associate of the Killdeer Artisan Guild in Arlee, which is where she lived since 1986 and was a former educator. She will also bring handcrafted stained glass earrings to her “First Saturday” reception on Saturday, September 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Please stop by to enjoy her colorful creations and meet this local artist. Refreshments are available. The museum is open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Group tours are welcome. Call 406-644-3435 for further information.
