RONAN – Ronan Police Chief Ken Weaver swore in Brandon Smith as a new full-time officer for the town at the Monday, Aug. 15, Ronan City Council meeting. Smith served as a reserve officer for the past few months. Chief Weaver said Smith applied for the full-time position and was the top qualifying candidate. Smith graduated with honors from the reserve program,and he will attend the police academy in September.
