POLSON – The Mission Valley Mariners took the field in a conference home game against the Bitterroot Red Sox on Wednesday, June 5. In the first game, the Mariners took the lead in the second inning. However, the Red Sox answered with two runs in the third inning to pull ahead. The Mariners pulled together three more runs and held Bitterroot. The Mariners won 4-3. The second game had a different outcome for the Mariners. In the first three innings, Bitterroot scored 12 runs to the Mariners one. The one run was the only point scored for the Mariners and they lost by mercy rule in the sixth inning. Bitterroot won the game 13-1.
