DILLON – After losing to the Glacier Twins in both games of their doubleheader games on Wednesday, June 15 in Whitefish, the Mariners rebounded at the Dillon Maybelle Arthur Tournament on Thursday and Friday. Dominating their first game of the tournament on Thursday, June 16 against Missoula Pioneers, winning by mercy rule the Mariners set themselves up nicely for the rest of the tournament. On Friday, June 17 the Mariners played the Bitterroot Red Sox in a hardfought game. The teams battled at the plate the entire contest, but the Mariners pulled ahead with a last inning run that topped the game. The Mariners won 2-0. In the final game of the tournament the Mariners took on the Gallatin Valley Outlaws. Scoring six runs in the first two innings, the Mariners found themselves in a comfortable position the rest of the game. The Mariners continued to pull ahead and end the game with a 10-3 win.
