Fireworks show needs funding
POLSON — The Polson 4th of July fireworks show has become a tradition for our area, brought to you by the Polson Chamber of Commerce. This tradition is funded entirely by donations from our local community members. The chamber is now accepting donations at the downtown office next to the Showboat Theatre, or by mail at 418 Main St, Polson MT 59860. Any amount you care to give is appreciated. The Marine Corp League Hellroaring Detachment will be holding their annual fireworks fundraising drive Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Highway 93, Polson. Please give what you can.
Country living workshop coming June 25
CHARLO — The Lake County Conservation District is sponsoring a Country Living Workshop on Saturday, June 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at the United Methodist Church, 70715 Highway 93 in Charlo. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Topics to be covered include Gardening, Landscaping, Orchards, Pollinators, Wildlife, Grazing, Weed Identification, 310 Permits, and Forest Health and Fire Awareness. There will be coffee, snacks, door prizes, and a notebook filled with valuable information. There is a $15 fee to cover the cost of the workbook. This is an opportunity to talk with specialists about any concerns you may have about your piece of the country. For more information call 406-676-2841.
Aquatic theme to set mood for coloring
POLSON — North Lake County Public Library in Polson is offering an ocean-themed adult coloring program on Wednesday, June 15, from 2-4 p.m. in the library meeting room. Coloring pages and postcards from Johanna Basford’s 2015 release, “Lost Ocean,” will be featured. A virtual aquarium with relaxing background music on the library’s Smart Board will help set the nautical tone. Light refreshments of ice tea, lemonade, and fresh cookies from the Lake City Bakery will be available. Everyone is welcome.
