ARLEE — Two suspects allegedly involved with the homicide of a man whose deceased body was found in a trailer June 2 in Arlee have been arrested.
Stephen Seese, 23, will be charged with deliberate homicide and his wife, Kassandra Seese, 23, is being charged with accountability (deliberate homicide), according to court documents.
Stephen Seese was already incarcerated in the Shoshone County Jail in Idaho for probation violation charges and has waived extradition to Montana. The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kassandra Seese at her mother’s home in Springdale, Washington. She has been transported to the Spokane County Detention Center.
According to court documents, on June 2 the badly decomposed body of Richard Warner, 18, was discovered in a trailer on Coombs Lane by two people who were attempting to relocate the camper. The body was sent to the Montana State Crime Lab, where it was determined to be Warner. The report stated Warner had broken ribs and a defensive wound on his arm.
During an interview with Kassandra, she said she was present with their two children around Feb. 17 when Stephen hit Warner in the head with a hammer because Richard had lied to him. When the couple realized Warner was dead, his body was placed in the shower and covered with clothing and furniture. The family continued to live in the trailer until early May, when they moved to Idaho.
Stephen’s story was that his nephew was killed in a car wreck in Billings, and he was going to Idaho to take care of funeral arrangements. Another reference in court documents notes that Warner was Stephen's cousin.
Court documents say Stephen was a known meth user.
Warner had not been seen or heard from since February, but he was never reported missing to law enforcement, according to Lake County Sheriff Don Bell.
