CHARLO – A full cement truck flipped onto its side after turning west on Highway 212 towards Charlo from U.S. Highway 93, several yards from the yellow blinking lights over the intersection around 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Tony Isbell reported that the truck appeared to have flipped after going around the corner. Speed is possibly a factor.
The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Names are not being released at this time.
Traffic on Highway 212 was forced into a single lane coming from Charlo until the truck could be removed. Several emergency crews worked together at the scene including the Ronan and Charlo volunteer fire departments, Ronan ambulance service, Montana Highway Patrol, Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tribal Police.
