News from Mission Valley Honor Guard
LAKE COUNTY — The Mission Valley Honor Guard will be having Memorial Day Services on Monday, May 30 at 10 a.m. at the Arlee Jocko Cemetery, 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Pleasant View Cemetery, and 11:30 a.m. at the St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery.
Following the ceremonies at about 12:30 p.m., Allentown Restaurant is graciously providing a meal for veterans and their immediate families at no cost. American Legion Post 106 and Auxiliary invite community residents to join us for a nominal cost of $5.99 a plate. There will also be information and photo displays about past Mission Valley historical events and memorial events that the Honor Guard and community Legion have participated in. This is a wonderful opportunity to educate our children about how our military serves to protect our nation from harm. Everyone is welcome to join us.
